Some nature photos in reverence of our favorite Texas State Park, Brazos Bend south of Houston.
An aerial of our property is featured with photos of winter arrivals (birds) here. Purposeful plans for conservation in our own backyard help to counter the sadness of 'slash and burn' removal of acres upon acres of raw woods to make way for more human infrastructure.
As Houston was getting pummeled with rain, we took shelter on the beach up in the air -- where it's safe from flooding! Houston dried out and we got wet chasing birds and enjoying life out of school for the summer.
Photography in dim lighting can be difficult but not impossible. You too can get great images if you know how to set up your camera beforehand. Go to the post to listen to the sounds of the marshland birds while viewing the latest bird photos taken from Brazos Bend State Park. The peak birding season on the Texas Gulf Coast is only just beginning!
