My ode to the bug. Find out why I'm not creeped out by them, and challenge yourself not to be creeped out either. They are here to stay, whether you like it or not.

As Houston was getting pummeled with rain, we took shelter on the beach up in the air -- where it's safe from flooding! Houston dried out and we got wet chasing birds and enjoying life out of school for the summer.
An update on blogging, a spring baby gallery. Go ahead. Say, 'Awww!'
Finally...some snap shots of the House Finch. And a song recording ta boot. Enjoy!
A walk on the property following several day's rain. Things green up -- and get 'saggy' fast here! Looking forward to sunshine and a garden busting with tomatoes.
The last birding excursion for the spring migration of 2015, it's back out to Galveston and Bolivar Flats. 12-yr-old Scottie shows up other birders with an unlikely bird ID. Longish post with lots of beautiful birds.
I am vegan. In your heart, you are vegan too, so start living your values.
Another nature hike at Brazos Bend State Park with a live recording of male alligators growling it out! Mommy Cardinal gets kissed by Daddy, and Green Heron works to choke down one big-ass crawdaddy.
The incredible, wonderful chard leaf. My fav.
Too much going on for a post, so I'm cramming a few photos into a journal of sorts. Better reading, methinks!
