Back from the coast! What a splendid day out with the birds. Couldn't wait to share the feathered joy.
As Houston was getting pummeled with rain, we took shelter on the beach up in the air -- where it's safe from flooding! Houston dried out and we got wet chasing birds and enjoying life out of school for the summer.
The last birding excursion for the spring migration of 2015, it's back out to Galveston and Bolivar Flats. 12-yr-old Scottie shows up other birders with an unlikely bird ID. Longish post with lots of beautiful birds.
Birding again! I know, I know, it may not be your thing, but the birds are indeed beautiful. Come see how we spent a Valentine's weekend without the kids and bunnies.
